Food is one of the basic necessities of life! A love of and need for food is common to all of us. In our Lake Highlands neighborhood, many kitchen pantries are often low in supplies or completely empty. Not everyone has equal access to healthy, nutritional food on a regular basis. Feed Lake Highlands serves as a food distribution center on Wednesdays, so that we may serve community residents living with food insecurity.
Hunger can be an issue for anyone - a single mom, a senior, an immigrant, a veteran, a family, a child- it does not discriminate. Those who serve at Feed Lake Highlands treat everyone they meet with grace, hope, integrity, and commitment. We are called to fight hunger by feeding physical food and the hope of God. Supplemental groceries including fruits, grains, vegetables, and proteins are available to individuals and families in need. 1 out of 4 children go hungry daily.
If you find yourself needing food at this particular time, please come visit us on any 1st, 2nd, or 4th Wednesday from 12:30pm-4:30pm or on the 3rd Wednesday from 12:30pm-5:30pm at The New Room Community Center located at 10061 Whitehurst, Dallas. Applications done on site.

¡La comida es una de las necesidades básicas de la vida! El amor y la necesidad de comida es común para todos nosotros. En nuestra comunidad de Lake Highlands, muchas despensas de comida a menudo tienen pocos suministros o están completamente vacíos. No todos tienen el mismo acceso a alimentos saludables y nutricionales de manera regular.
